New Board of Directors for Faerch Group

A.P. Moller Holding’s acquisition of Faerch Group (‘Faerch’), a global leader in sustainable rigid food packaging solutions, has been completed and a new Board of Directors has been appointed. Henrik Poulsen former CEO of Ørsted A/S and Senior Advisor to A.P. Moller Holding is appointed as new Chair; Jaska de Bakker, CFO of Koninklijke FrieslandCampina N.V.; Marianne Kirkegaard, President and CEO of CSM Bakery Solutions LLC; Jan Thorsgaard Nielsen, Chief Investment Officer of A.P. Moller Holding; Ron Marsh, former CEO of RPC Group and Sven Seidel, CEO of PHOENIX group, are elected Board members.
Faerch is a leading manufacturer of sustainable food packaging solutions within ready meals, protein, food-to-Go and dairy. Faerch has taken the lead in making rigid food packaging circular with products made from up to 100% recycled content and fully recyclable to new food grade products. As an integrated recycler, Faerch recycles food trays back into new food grade products at industrial scale.

As part of the completion of A.P. Moller Holding’s acquisition it has sold 1% of the equity to the Faerch Foundation. The Færch Family established Faerch back in 1969 and in 1984 the Faerch Foundation also became owners.
Commenting on the investment, Chair of the Faerch Foundation, Annemette Færch says: “The Foundation is committed to supporting a positive regional development of northwestern Jutland, and we are very happy and proud that we again are part of the company that initially was founded by our family in 1969. Today, Faerch is a world-leading company within its field and with a strong economy, and we are excited again to be part of its future.”
